If you love to Deep Sea Fish and want to travel somewhere special to do it then I highly recommend you contact Capt. Skeet Warren in Costa Rica. I had been trying to catch a Blue, Black or Striped Marlin for many years with no luck. I had chartered boats in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, Hawaii, Puerto Vallarta, Daytona Beach, Cabo San Lucas twice and Costa Rica out of Los Suenos with no luck in raising a Marlin.
On my previous Costa Rica trip I got hot and heavy into the Sailfish by releasing 22 of them out of Los Suenos marina but still no Marlin. I wanted to go back to Costa Rica and found Capt. Skeet Warren on the web and contacted him about his operation down there. Capt. Skeet was a true professional, very friendly and easy to deal with so I booked him for a trip in January of 2010. He had all the certifications and experience that one is looking for in a charter of this type.
Since I was only going to be there a week I wanted to better my chances of hooking into a Marlin so I lined up a back-up charter with another smaller boat in the Northwestern section of Guanacaste. Once I got down there the winds were blowing all week and my smaller charter was cancelled leaving me with my only chance to get a Marlin aboard the Bushwacker later in the week. Traveling south to the Tamarindo area I found the harbor where The Bushwacker was anchored and awaited the skiff to pick me up from the beach. The winds had died down but the seas were still rolling pretty good when we headed out. The Bushwacker was a beautiful, comfortable, powerful and safe boat and his crew was excellent. After trolling hard and catching a variety of smaller fish we finally raised a billfish mid afternoon and I ended up with my first Marlin, a 200lb Striper! If you want to experience the adventure of Deep Sea fishing in a beautiful location and need a Captain you can trust then I highly recommend you contact Capt. Skeet Warren of The Bushwacker!!
